The Guggenheim Premio e Cultura Award was created in 1997 by Bondardo Comunicazione. The prize was inspired by the successful and innovative museum-business relationship model created by the agency Intrapresæ Collezione Guggenheim.
The five editions of the Guggenheim Impresa e Cultura Award recorded over 300 participating businesses, from throughout the country.

In view on the growth in the number of companies investing in cultural projects, the need emerged to expand the Award’s scope: no longer just a showcase for visibility and recognition, but also an opportunity for communication, meeting and research. Thus, in May 2002, Sistema Impresa e Cultura was established and the Guggenheim Award became the Premio Impresa e Cultura.
